Stuarts were contracted to construct a new distribution centre floor slab for Tescos in the summer of 2005 of approximately 65,000m².

With a construction programme of only 23 days, over 650m³ of concrete was required per day, with two dedicated concreting teams on site casting two separate bays of approximately 1,450m² in conjunction with two of our Somero S240 laser screed machines.

As contracted, the finished floor slab achieved an Fm2 Special Surface Tolerance as defined in TR34 (2003), ± 15mm datum across the slab, and an Abrasion Resistance of AR1.
