On a recent project, Stuarts were involved with Hacs Construction Ltd. to refurbish an old building in Poole-in-Wharfedale.

The building was in a state of disrepair, and a decision was taken to make use of the building and land for the purpose of retail units and a vintage car restoration centre. Stuarts were involved in replacing the ground floor and constructing a composite metal deck slab to form an upper floor. The environmental impact is lessened by the fact an old interesting building that is full of character, sitting on the banks of the River Wharf has now been brought back to life. There is no need to demolish the building, dig up the foundations and rebuild from scratch. A building full of charm has been resurrected and will be used for many years to come.
